I'm hiring a 

Lab Manager! 

A FULL-TIME LAB MANAGER is sought by Annie Maheux at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. As a research lab, we will aim to understand interpersonal and sociocultural influences on adolescent development, including mental health, sexual behavior, and academic engagement, with an emphasis on gender, sexuality, and digital media use. The lab will be housed within the Developmental Psychology Program at UNC Chapel Hill and affiliated with the Winston National Center on Technology Use, Brain, and Psychological Development. This position has an anticipated start date of August 1, 2023. This position has a 12-month term with possibility of renewal.


The individual who fills this position will be involved in all aspects of the research process and administrative duties related to launching a new research lab, including coordinating multiple studies; hiring, supervising, and mentoring undergraduate RAs; recruiting participants; collecting and managing data; conducting literature searches; and assisting with IRB management, grant applications, and lab and grant budgets. A Bachelor’s degree and prior experience in Psychology or a related field are required. This position requires a high degree of initiative, flexibility, maturity, attention to detail, and outstanding interpersonal and organizational skills. Applicants with prior research or management experience are preferred. Professional development opportunities will be available. This position is ideal for a highly motivated individual interested in gaining research experience prior to graduate school in Psychology or related fields.
